All students are to be ready to present on their chosen presentation date. A late penalty of 5 percent per day will be assigned is alternate arrangements have not be made in ADVANCE of the presentation date.

Marketing: Goods, Services, Events, (BMI3C)
Grade 11, College Preparation
This course introduces the fundamental concepts of product marketing, which includes the marketing of goods, services, and events. Students will examine how trends, issues, global economic changes, and information technology influence consumer buying habits. Students will engage in marketing research, develop marketing strategies, and produce a marketing planfor a product of their choice.
WHAT IS MARKETING?
Marketing is more than just advertising, and identifying what the customer wants;
Marketing: encompasses a range of business activities, including purchasing, selling, distribution, customer service, marketing research, and promotion, as well as advertising.
In the language of marketing: the term product includes goods, services, and events.
The information age, informed consumers,and the global marketplace have changed the tactics and strategies employed by todayís diverse types of business, both for-profit and non-profit.
Students will examine how branding, product positioning, and target marketing form part of a businessís dynamic marketing plan.
In addition, students will identify the potential for employment in the complex world of marketing.
